The Opioid Crisis
Nurse Practitioners at FQHCs are on the front lines of the opioid crisis. It is critically important that our residents are prepared to give the best possible care for their patients today and in the future.
medication assisted treatment
Residents participate in Buprenorphine Waiver Training as part of their curriculum, empowering them to receive their DEA X license and prescribe Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) to a small panel of patients under expert faculty supervision.
learning from experts
Residents are guided by expert faculty at a integrated primary care facility for consultation and case discussions. CHC is a fully operationalized organization and leading voice addressing the crisis.
In addition to the required Chronic Pain Weitzman ECHO, Residents have access to a Buprenorphine ECHO, the specialty care online resource PainNET, and a full clinic of expert clinicians.
